Gun has been received.store was very nice about the delay. I thought I had given myself plenty of time.Update. I am always hesitant to voice frustrations because I understand logistical challenges that can sometimes arise but the lack of effective communication on the stores behalf for much of the process, the long delay, and the fact that I still dont have the items I purchased or any confidence on when they might arrive has left me frustrated and nearly to the point of seeking a refund so I can hopefully find the products elsewhere in time for Turkey season. Additionally I ordered a choke for this firearm through their online store about 2 weeks ago and have yet to receive word that this has arrived either. 9 days have now passed since that conversation and I have still yet to receive word that a gun that was paid for a month ago is ready to pick up. After about 20 minutes he called me back and said he found one and would have it sent to their location so I may pick it up. He mentioned he would call around to see if he could locate one at a different store. This was the first time anyone did research to determine the delay. Finally after 3 weeks I spoke with Justin who did some research and informed me that the firearm was on backorder with the distributor. I also submitted a ticket to which stated I would receive a reply within 24 hours. After 3 weeks and two phone calls in which I was dismissed as just needing to wait until it shows up. At the the time of placing my order their online inventory showed they had a 301 in stock. At that time I also ordered 2 boxes of Federal TSS shells. On February 13th I ordered a Stevens 301 in. Unfortunately I am dealing with something that has left my confidence in them strained. I have long been a fan of Point Blank Range. Thank you to both locations for all that they did and especially Gary for all of his hard work. I could not be more happy with my build or the service I received. The next day I went to the Florence store (after they called and let me know it was in) and not only purchased the lower but Gary assisted me with putting the lower together using tools I did not have at home. He informed me there was a managers meeting to be held at the Blue Ash store and as long as Sean (the manager in Florence) was willing, he could bring one from Blue Ash to Kentucky and I could buy it there. I then asked the manager what actions could be taken to help me. Needless to say at this point I was extremely frustrated at the whole situation especially that i could not complete my build that day & had driven all the way there just to get let down. Once I got there, (40 minutes one way per google maps) I was told that since I am a KY resident and a lower is apparently considered an other item that could be made into a pistol they couldnt sell it to me. The sales guy in Blue Ash told me that was fine and it would be waiting for me when I got there. I asked if they would put one behind the counter for me as i would be driving from KY to pick it up in the next hour. Upon calling Blue Ash the sales guy told me they had 2 Spikes Tactical lowers in stock. While searching for a lower receiver for my AR I had to call the location in Blue Ash because the location in Florence was all out of any and all forms of lowers. This is actually a bigger discount than what PBR offered me after screwing me over.Have no “confidence” in SPB. (According to IRS mileage guidelines, another roundtrip to their store would cost me almost as much as their offered discount.)By way of comparison, Dunham’s is currently offering $50 off the purchase of any handgun 499.99 and above. They seem to expect that I would forget their unprofessional behavior and make a return trip to their store for a whopping 5% discount. They believe this is an appropriate discount for a previously loyal customer, one who was completely ignored by their employees. I just took my business-and money-to Triggers.ETA: Their idea of “making it right” was to offer 5% off what I tried to unsuccessfully buy last visit.
There are too many other gun stores in the area to put up with this. I was serious about purchasing a specific handgun, but I will not beg for help. This was not because they were busy there seemed to be more employees than customers at the time. Ignored by at least three employees while shopping today.
